Down amorously is an American romantic comedy motion picture released in the United States on May 9, 2003. It stars Renée Zellweger, Ewan McGregor, David Hyde Pierce, Sarah Paulson, and Tony Randall in his final film performance. A moving-picture show is an tender pastiche of the films made by Rock Hudson and Doris Day in the late 1950s and early 1960s, most notably Pillow Talk (1959) and Lover Come Back (1961).
A sets, costumes, cinematography, editing, score and special effects are carefully designed to give a impression that a moving picture was actually shot within 1962, potentially to the extent of digitally recreating the New York skyline and getting the greenscreen technique simulating 1960s rearward projection. When the plot reflects a attitudes & behaviour of a pre-sexual revolution early sixties, the film has a subtext informed by more modern, post-feminist ideas and attitudes; a script mixing early 21st Century ideas using a nature and severity of weak-blithe backchat that dominated films of the early Sixties.

Trivia
the musical total seen when you took the closing credits (& within its integrality on the DVD release) was a previous-microscopic addition to the film. Ewan McGregor suggested that since he & Renée Zellweger got recently appeared inside 2 super popular musical theater films (Moulin Rouge! and Chicago respectively), it only add up for the 2 of the two to launder the song together.
